Celebrating Seiko's 145th anniversary, the Seiko Presage HCB006J1 is a limited edition Cocktail Time GMT inspired by the Edo Murasaki, an original cocktail created by Hisashi Kishi, owner and head bartender of Tokyo's renowned STAR BAR. Limited to just 6,000 pieces worldwide, it is a collectable piece of Japanese watchmaking with a story behind it.
The rich purple dial takes its colour from the Edo Murasaki cocktail, finished with the radial pattern that has become a hallmark of the Cocktail Time series. Gold-coloured accents on the Seiko logo and GMT hand add a warm contrast, while dauphine hands and a box-shaped Hardlex crystal give it a refined, vintage feel. "LIMITED EDITION" is marked on the caseback.
Powering the HCB006J1 is Seiko's in-house Calibre 4R34 automatic movement, a 24-jewel calibre with manual winding, stop-seconds for precise time setting and a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. A 24-hour GMT hand tracks a second time zone at a glance, a date display adds everyday practicality, and the movement is on show through a see-through screw caseback.
The 40.5mm stainless steel case wears comfortably at 12.8mm thick with a 47.5mm lug-to-lug, suiting a wide range of wrist sizes. Water resistant to 5 bar (50 metres) and fastened with a three-fold clasp and push-button release, it is a versatile dress watch built for everyday wear.
